Pearl Harbor-The Day of Infamy that should have been Avoided

In honor of the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I'm sharing a paper I initially wrote in high school, then re-wrote with additional research in college a long time ago at a university far, far away in Columbus, Ohio. Please keep in mind I have NOT edited or revised this and it was written many, many years ago, but I stand behind the research and the theory presented.

The premise is the fact that the US had thorough knowledge about an impending attack coming by Japan in the Pacific. FDR effectively allowed the attack on Pearl Harbor in order to have a justification for entering World War II. The attack could have been prevented, or at least met with a defense. Though there's no doubt the US should have entered WWII, our entrance to the War could, and probably should have been handled in a much different manner.

Please download, enjoy, and share. All I ask is that I be given full attribution and credit for the work. I offer this to honor all those who sacrificed for all of us in World War II. Our world would be a much different place had the great generation that fought that war not insured our victory over the evils the Axis powers perpetrated.
